Funding Sources

At CMS, we understand that every district is unique, with its own set of needs. Our pricing model is designed to be flexible and tailored to accommodate the specific requirements of each district.

We also seek out alternative educational and behavioral health funding sources. This includes exploring avenues such as grants and incentives for behavioral health practitioners working with families of children with ASD and related disabilities, along with family insurance plans.

These funding sources allow us to provide top-quality support to districts at a fraction of the cost. Our strategy allows us to offer a comprehensive range of benefits and services for the price of just one behavior specialist.

Tailored Training

Our training approach is tailored to your institution's needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing programs. We adapt The CMS Approach™  to complement existing initiatives, focusing on areas such as independent advancement and specialized modules not covered in standard special education programs.

Tiered Services

We offer services structured into three tiers. These include services tailored to provide support within dedicated CMS classrooms as well as for referred students outside of CMS classrooms.

Tier I & Tier II Services Partner with CMS

  • Dedicated Behavior Support Specialist and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) oversight for up to eight classrooms or three school sites, depending on what applies first.
    • If the district initially dedicates less than eight classrooms or three school sites, the fee for all additional classrooms to meet the quota is cut in half.
    • Once the district adds additional CMS classrooms beyond the 8-classroom quota, another specialist is needed, and therefore a new contract is required.
  • A comprehensive assessment of classroom functionality utilizing The CMS Matrix™. This assessment incorporates best practices from various sources, including Danielson components, global teaching objectives, and standards formulated within ABA practices, tailored for the public school setting.
  • 18 hours of professional development on The CMS Approach™ to ensure effective implementation.
  • A 5-day immersive training session with up to three CMS team members to support the staff in adopting The CMS Approach™.
  • All necessary materials associated with The CMS Approach™ are provided and distributed appropriately to each cohort of students. This includes items such as CMS task boxes, CMS phasing binders, CMS classroom visual supports, CMS behavioral modification tools, CMS individual student visuals, CMS aprons, CMS timers, and CMS reinforcement starter kits for individual students.
  • Continuous support, training, and monitoring of implementation efficacy are offered throughout the school year to ensure successful integration of The CMS Approach™.

Tier III Services Partner with Waves of ABA

  • Individual assessments for all referred students in need of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
  • Individual BIP creation, team training, and ongoing implementation to ensure efficacy support of said BIP.
  • Data collection systems.
  • BCBA Attendance of IEP meetings with an overview of BIP (as requested).
  • Ongoing support, training, and monitoring of all BIPs by a BCBA or ACS (Assistant Clinical Supervisor) throughout the school year.

The district fee structure is based on current Level C student enrollment within the dedicated CMS classrooms.

The Two-Pronged Approach To Behavioral Supports

  • To effectively address behavioral challenges in the classroom, a multifaceted approach is essential. This approach involves implementing macro-level systems and providing micro-level individual support.

    • Macro: The CMS Approach™ ensures that systems and processes are in place and teachers are trained with classroom management best practices.
    • Micro: Waves of ABA support the individual student within the CMS classrooms.

Additional Services

Our current fee structure includes behavior support for Level C students. There are no additional charges for students who are transferred into existing CMS-supported classrooms. Conversely, no refunds are issued for students moving out of the district or current CMS classrooms into other, more restrictive placements.

However, if a student is phasing into a general education setting or placement is graduated to Level B, a new BIP will be developed for the new environment, and necessary support will be provided to facilitate this transition effectively with no additional cost to the district.

Expansion Opportunities

Expansion opportunities beyond the initial designated CMS classrooms are available. Discussions are typically initiated and established prior to winter break, allowing ample time for planning and implementation.

Renewed contracts benefit from reduced costs per student, reflecting the cumulative training and implementation provided in previous years. Tier I and Tier II support offer practices of sustainability. In general, costs are only focused on Tier III supports provided within the following contracted years.

Future Considerations

For Level D classroom support, we offer an expert BCBA with years of experience within ED/EDP programs. A separate contract can be provided that includes a comprehensive merging of EDP-leveled practices with ABA concepts.

Implementation School Team Requirements

The following school staff should be part of the implementation team and required to attend the CMS professional development training in your schools.

  • Educators
  • Paraprofessionals
  • Either the site lead, behavior coach, or school psychologist

This training is essential for ensuring fidelity to our program's principles and practices.

In addition, teachers and paraprofessionals (instructional assistants or IAs) are expected to complete ABA training professional development within the first nine weeks in order to implement students’ behavior plans with fidelity.
