Demo Classroom

When the district has available space, we provide demo classroom setups to offer teachers a simulated classroom environment. This allows them to experience firsthand how implementing The CMS Approach™ can benefit students with ASD and related disabilities.

In these demo class setups, educators can see practical examples of how to effectively use our tips and strategies to benefit students with ASD and related disabilities.

The demo classroom provides a step-by-step demonstration of each domain within The CMS ApproachTM and its strategies. This includes a demonstration of how to use classroom space strategically, create individualized student schedules, and manage behavior.

Module of Our Demo Classroom

Our team provides a demonstration of different methods of managing and fostering a supportive learning environment for students with ASD and related disabilities.

Visual Supports

Visual supports are tools that help students understand and learn better by using pictures and diagrams alongside spoken words. They are used in the classroom to empower students to complete their tasks on their own.

In our demo session, we will show you how you can use visual aids, such as visual schedules, cue cards, and behavior charts, to support communication and behavior management in the classroom.

Classroom Layout

Classroom layout focuses on how the classroom is organized. The aim is to set up the classroom space in a way that helps students with ASD and related disabilities learn better.

The physical setup of the classroom can help prevent and manage behavior issues before they happen. The goal is to make sure the classroom sends clear messages to students through its environmental cues.

Our demo class focuses on showing examples of how furniture, learning materials, and visual supports are arranged to create a structured and supportive learning environment.

Task Organization

Task organization involves planning out the activities students need to do each day, so they know what to do, where to go, and in what order to do things.

The goal here is to help students manage their daily tasks. Students with ASD and related disabilities do better when they have a routine they can predict and understand why things are happening.

In our demo session, we illustrate strategies to organize tasks and activities in the classroom to help students be more independent and engaged in their learning.

Independent Advancement Area

Independent Advancement Areas create opportunities for students to learn new skills and complete tasks on their own. The aim is to empower students to take charge of their learning journey.

In our demo session, we guide you on using different strategies to boost students' independence and prepare them for general education classrooms.
