Our Training Model

Our training model includes the steps and methods we use to train teachers and staff members on evidence-based strategies for using The CMS Approach™ in the classroom. We have workshops, demonstration class setups, and live immersion classroom training to guide teachers in creating classrooms that support students with ASD and related disabilities.

We focus on working together with the teacher to help them feel confident in implementing strategies that place students at their center.

Professional Development Workshops

We offer professional development workshops as part of the implementation process of The CMS Approach™. These workshops include structured sessions designed to improve teachers' and staff members' understanding of how to support students with ASD and related disabilities through The CMS Approach™.

Our professional development workshops are tailored to accommodate different levels of experience and expertise among participants. We provide you with the necessary resources and comprehensive training on various aspects of The CMS Approach™.

The workshops are conducted by experienced consultants who specialize in The CMS Approach™. During the workshops, you will engage in hands-on activities and receive expert guidance, and practical tips on creating supportive classroom environments for students with ASD and related disabilities.

We offer professional development workshops for districts with existing knowledge systems and also for those without.

Demo Classroom

When the district has space available for it, we also offer demo classroom setups to offer teachers a simulated classroom environment. This allows them to experience firsthand how implementing The CMS Approach™ can benefit students with ASD and related disabilities.

In these demo class setups, teachers can see practical examples of how to effectively use tips and strategies we provide being implemented in actual classrooms.

The demo classroom provides a step-by-step demonstration of each CMS domain and the various strategies within each domain. This includes showing how to use classroom space strategically, create individualized student schedules, and manage behavior using various strategies.

5- Day Live Immersive Classroom Training

What sets our professional development program apart is our live immersive classroom training session. Our 5-day live immersive classroom training program offers an interactive learning experience conducted directly within a classroom setting. This unique approach allows for collaboration and engagement with 2-3 consultants, including a lead behavior specialist, modeling within a typical school day.

The program spans five consecutive days in which our CMS consultants are physically present in the classroom to provide guidance, feedback, and support to teachers as they learn to implement The CMS Approach™. Our consultants work directly with teachers within the classroom setting.

Funding Sources

At CMS, we understand that every district is unique, with its own set of needs. Our pricing model is designed to be flexible and tailored to accommodate the specific requirements of each district.

We also seek out alternative educational and behavioral health funding sources.

This includes exploring avenues such as grants and incentives for behavioral health practitioners working with families of children with Autism, along with family insurance plans. All these funding sources allow us to provide top-quality support to districts at a fraction of the cost.

For the price of just one behavior specialist allocation, you gain access to a comprehensive range of benefits and services.
